VISITORS to a natural tourist attraction have been invited to get artistic this half-term.

Monkey Forest, Trentham, has launched a photographic competition as it re-opens after the winter break.

The event has been timed to mark the monkey’s breeding season and visitors have been challenged to take a photo of any “monkey couples” they spot in the forest.

The competition is open to everyone who visits between February 13 and 21.

And entries will be judged on content so, even if visitors only have a phone camera, their snaps will be considered.

The winner will receive a Fuji 10 megapixel camera, memory stick and 200 free prints from Jessops, Hanley.

Monkey Forest will add a free family pass and a cuddly barbary macaque monkey.

Director Sue Wiper said: “We think this will be great fun as our visitors try and snap the most engaging photos of our monkeys.”

I guarantee that your competitor is out there waiting to call on them and do some work for them, and while they are dealing with all of the stress and issues, you have an opportunity to pitch the clients that they no longer are able to serve while they deal with their new client from hell.

Walk into Macon Stationery & Bank Supply Inc. and browse the aisles: Available for purchase are paper clips, sticky notes, calculators – and stun guns.

A year-and-a-half ago Doug Macon, owner of the 27-year-old Oklahoma City office supply store, saw defense supplies advertised in a trade magazine – things like pepper spray, stun guns and Tasers. On a whim, he ordered a couple, stuck them in a display case in his front counter, and began selling them.

The products are popular. Most are sold to women or men who give them to their girlfriends or wives.

“It’s only about 10 percent of my business, but people like it,” Macon said, riffling through the supply catalog of Mace, electric shock weapons and fight training videos.

Not many stores in Oklahoma City sell Tasers, stun guns or other electronic shock weapons. Bass Pro has them; an online search reveals about five stores advertising them for sale to consumers. But there could be more businesses like Macon Stationery that simply order them through catalogs and don’t advertise them.

Your dishwasher’s door switch will be behind the control panel on the front of the unit. It may be necessary to remove the inner panel of the door first. You can do this by removing a few screws. The screws at the bottom of the door are for the hinges. You do not need to remove the whole door for this repair.

Once the inner panel is removed you may find another smaller panel covering the back of the control panel held in place with screws or clips. By removing this panel you will gain access to the latch assembly housing the door switch.

How to remove the switch

Carefully use needle nose pliers to pull the wires leading from the harness off the terminals. For door switches that have a locking clip, depress the lever as you gently pull the harness away from the terminal.

Take your time while removing switches that are a part of the latch assembly or that have a bracket.
